MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Derrick Brown of Auburn University had his name called during Thursday’s NFL Draft.
Brown was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the 7th pick in the 1st round.
The first Auburn player off the board, Brown was an unstoppable force on a dominant Auburn defensive line over the past couple of seasons.
The 6-5, 318-pound, three-year starter finished his Auburn career with 13 sacks, 33.5 tackles for loss and 170 tackles. In 2019, Brown compiled 55 total tackles, 33 of them solo, to go along with four sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
