MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Jerry Jeudy of the University of Alabama had his name called during Thursday’s NFL Draft.

Jeudy was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 15th overall pick in the 1st round.

The 2018 Frank Biletnikoff Award Winner, Jeudy recorded 26 career touchdown receptions to rank second all-time in Alabama history, behind only Amari Cooper’s 31. Jeudy finished with 2,742 yards across his three seasons, good for fourth on the Crimson Tide’s career receiving yards list, and amassed 159 receptions.

Jeudy was the second receiver taken in the draft behind former Crimson Tide teammate Henry Ruggs III, who was taken 12th overall by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The First Team All-SEC selection put up an impressive 2019 season with 1,163 yards to rank third on UA’s single-season list while leading all Tide wideouts with 77 catches.

The NFL Draft continues through Saturday.
