MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Gov. Kay Ivey has authorized the Alabama National Guard to dispatch four Black Hawk helicopters to Louisiana to assist with the impact of Cat. 4 Hurricane Laura.
Ivey’s office said the helicopters would be sent Thursday morning.
Additionally, Ivey has authorized the ALNG to send up to 350 military police to Wisconsin, should the request be made by that state, to assist with handling civil unrest.
