Dallas County schools remain closed after power outages, damage

DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Dallas County and Selma schools remain closed as cleanup from Hurricane Zeta continues.

According to the Dallas County School System, schools will be closed again Thursday and Friday as cleanup and repairs continue.

Selma City Schools says it will also remain closed to students until Monday as they work to restore phone and internet service. Employees returned to work Thursday.

The Dallas County Emergency Management Agency says around 200 to 300 people remain without power.

Food and supplies for those in need will be handed out Friday at Bloch Park at 11 a.m.
