Selma mayor’s home shot into Saturday evening

SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson has confirmed that a bullet was fired into the home of Selma Mayor James Perkins Saturday evening.

It is currently unclear if it was a stray bullet or if the mayor’s home was being targeted.

There is no word on arrests at this time.

Selma police continue to investigate.

Perkins was elected mayor last month. He had served as mayor previously before coming back to run again.
