Troy Highway reopens hours after 3 killed in crash

3 killed on Troy Highway in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Nearly seven hours after Montgomery police shut down Troy Highway while responding a multi-fatal crash, the busy roadway has reopened to commuters.

The crash happened Monday morning just after 6 a.m. near Perimeter Parkway and prompted the closure of all lanes of Troy Highway in the area of Bell Road for hours.

Montgomery police say the two-vehicle crash claimed the lives of three people but other details were limited. The victims have not been identified and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
