Montgomery City Councilman Tracy Larkin dies

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery City Councilman Tracy Larkin has died.

Larkin’s death was confirmed by his close friend, Macon County EMA Director Frank Lee, who is also director of Macon County Homeland Security.

“With deep sorry I regret that was asked to make and inform the media that my best friend, Montgomery City Councilor Tracy Larkin, made his transition on this evening,” Lee said. “Please pray for his wife Adrian and his daughter, Traci and the Larkin Family. Tracy was the true definition of a dedicated public servant and a true and loyal friend.”

His cause of death is not yet known.

In July it was confirmed that Larkin had been absent from City Council meetings for health reasons.

Larkin was serving his fourth term as councilman. He was elected in 1999.
