MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The Alabama Department of Public Health has created a map that shows sites other than hospitals that have been selected to receive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
While releasing the map to the public, ADPH cautioned “the state’s allocation is minimal” and added “many sites may not have vaccine on hand.”
The map and other information about vaccine doses administered in Alabama are available here.
Hospitals in some areas of the state have started vaccinating other groups, but most hospitals are still in the process of vaccinating frontline health workers.
ADPH said information about hospital vaccine availability will be added to the new map later when vaccine is available for additional groups.
Currently, ADPH says the state has been allocated 670,000 vaccine doses but has only gotten 370,000 of those. Of the doses delivered so far, about 130,000 have been administered.
