MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Gov. Kay Ivey has ordered the immediate lowering of flags to half-staff to honor the life of Alabama native and baseball legend Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron.

Aaron died Friday morning at the age of 86.

Ivey’s order requires flags remain lowered in Aaron’s honor until sunset.
