BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - First Lady Jill Biden traveled to Alabama Friday, April 9.
She was scheduled to make the trip back on Friday, March 26. The trip was cancelled after tornadoes hit the state earlier that week.
Dr. Biden visited the James Rushton Early Learning Center and the YWCA.
Actress Jennifer Garner was originally supposed to join Dr. Biden, but she did not make the trip Friday.
Biden was joined by Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin and Congresswoman Terri Sewell.
This trip is part of the Help is Here tour to amplify how the American Rescue Plan addresses childhood poverty and plans to cut child poverty by half.
