Bluefield College vs. Faulkner at Crampton Bowl

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - After an explosive first half, the Faulkner Eagles took down the Bluefield Rams Saturday.

Quarterback Kade Young led the Eagles, who had an 11-for-20 outing for 235 yards and four touchdowns and was pulled after his final scoring toss in the third quarter.

The Eagles outgained Bluefield on the ground 215-69.

The Eagles wasted no time starting the opening quarter. Cordara Laurant took the handoff. He darts to his left, tip toes the line and side steps his defender for the score.

It would only get better for the Eagles. Starting the second quarter strong, Young connected with Isaiah Scott, who takes it the distance to double the lead.

With over 12 minutes left in the second quarter, the Rams punt, but Judson Hogeland comes in hot to get the block. Aaron Reynolds takes care of the rest to extend Faulkner’s lead.

The Eagles were able to hold off the Rams, leading 35-0 going ending the first half.

In the second half, the Rams began to pick up speed, but the Eagles were able to hold them off to secure the 42-28 win.

The Eagles finished the season with a 6-2 record and second in the Appalachian Division.
