Rain tonight, then it’s mainly dry for awhile
It’s also much cooler for Black Friday and this weekend
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - It was a beautiful Thanksgiving with ample sunshine and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. That won’t last tonight as a cold front will push through the area.
That front will bring a round of light rain showers into the first half of the overnight. Nothing heavy and no thunderstorms are going to push through, but most everyone sees at least some light rain.
The rain is gone well before sunrise Friday, which bodes well for anyone planning on heading out and shopping around for those deals. There will be clouds around early in the day, but there will be more sun than clouds later in the morning and afternoon. Even with the sunshine we will experience a winter feel with highs in the middle 50s.
The chilly weather will continue through the weekend as high temperatures top out on either side of 60 degrees each afternoon. Saturday will feature sun and increasing clouds, but Sunday likely winds up mostly cloudy early before skies try to clear out for the afternoon.
There could even be some very light rain late Saturday night and Sunday, but those chances are less than 20%. It’ll all come down to how expansive and strong a disturbance to our south ends up being when it pushes eastward this weekend.
Most things point towards a dry weekend, but just keep this in mind Saturday night into Sunday.
A good deal of sun is then in the forecast through at least next Thursday. Each day is dry and increasingly warmer with 70s back in the forecast by the middle and end of the week! So if you dislike the chilly weather, we do have a light at the end of the tunnel.
