Huntingdon College grieves loss of assistant coach
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The Huntingdon College community learned Monday evening that its assistant men’s lacrosse coach, Jack Murray, has died.
Murray was found Monday after a 48-hour search following a storm-related accident on a Pennsylvania lake, the private Montgomery college confirmed.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack’s family, our Men’s Lacrosse players and staff, and all of those who were blessed to know him,” the university said.
Murray had served as an assistant coach for Huntingdon for a year.
He previously competed at conference rival Methodist University, but committed his heart and energy to the Hawks, the university explained.
The news follows another loss within the community. In May, student-athlete Aidan Doss was killed in a Lee County car crash just three days after graduating.
