Tropical Storm Gordon formed across the southern tip of Florida this morning. The system has gradually become more organized overnight and appears to be in an environment supportive of slow strengthening in the near term.
Our Labor Day will have a Summerlike feel to it with highs into the lower 90s and scattered mainly afternoon thunderstorms. It's a fitting end to the unofficial close of Summer.
Our final day of August is about to carry us into an extended weekend, one where folks with outdoor plans will be paying particularly close attention to the forecast.
