Rosie Langello joined WSFA 12 News as sports director in January 2022. She is the seventh person and first woman to hold the role of sports director at WSFA.
Rosie is originally from Lebanon, Pennsylvania, which is just outside of Hershey, yes the chocolate bar! She’s thrilled to finally be living in the South. Rosie has spent her entire life living in the northeast covering sports in north and central Pennsylvania. Her first two jobs were in the Keystone State. She most recently spent the last 18 months in New England as a sports reporter in Providence, Rhode Island.
Rosie’s family was heavily involved in sports as she was growing up. Her dad, Michael, was a running back for the Philadelphia Little Quakers and throughout high school. She has three older sisters who all played soccer, and she played soccer and field hockey growing up. She and her dad coached the Lebanon County Special Olympics soccer team for many years, a team that her sister Anna played on. Rosie’s hobbies include running, reading, watching football and basketball, yelling at the Philadelphia 76ers through her TV and shaking her head at the Eagles.
Rosie thoroughly enjoys feature reporting and is always looking for athletes who want to be heard. Feel free to reach out to Rosie through Twitter @rosielangello or email at rosie.langello@wsfa.com.
