Many high school football games in Alabama have been moved to Thursday ahead of potential weather impacts from Hurricane Delta and WSFA 12 News' Friday Night Football Fever show will also shift up a day to cover them.
When Granger Shook graduated from Trinity Presbyterian School, he left as a state champion. Earlier this year, he returned to his alma mater as the new head football coach in what he calls a dream come true.
Former Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans and his foundation, the Razor Foundation, donated more than $40,000 worth of equipment to the Loachapoka football program; a gift that some of the players have never received.
The Park Crossing Thunderbirds are entering 2020 with a new mindset and a new leader. Former Loachapoka head coach LC Cole returns to Montgomery to take over the program, and hopefully help the bird take flight.
"The expectation is where it's always been at. We've only got one returning starter off last year's team in Anden Hilyer, so that's the challenge," said head Coach Bobby Carr. "But our kids have been responding.
