CrimeStoppers partners with ASU for free workshop

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Central Alabama Crime Stoppers and the Alabama State University Department of Public Safety will be conducting a free workshop for School Resource Officers across the River Region.

This training carries over from the NASRO Certification course given earlier this year. This will be a one day training event.

There will be several topics discussed including social media, Children with special needs and the SRO, Domestic Violence in Schools, Conflict Resolution and possibly more.

The training will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is schedules to end at 4:00 p.m. conducted in Room 225 Council Hall at Alabama State University.

Credit for this training will be given for January 2014 due to take home assignments that will be accepted in January of 2014.
