2 teens charged in fatal shooting of Ozark 17-year-old

Ozark police have arrested two suspects in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Sunday night.

Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey says officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Young Avenue and Yancey Street just after 10 p.m. Sunday. Officers found Christian Markoff, 17, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Markoff was transported to Dale Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Quashawn Knight, 18, and an unidentified 15-year-old have been charged with murder.

Police say they have identified a motive in the case but haven't released any details.

Marshall was a few mo nths away from graduating from Carroll High School.
