Crenshaw County inmate found dead in cell

CRENSHAW CO., AL (WSFA) - An inmate at the Crenshaw County Jail was found dead on Monday morning, according to the sheriff's department.
Authorities say they were called to the jail due to an inmate being found unresponsive. EMS personnel attempted to revive the inmate but were unsuccessful. The inmate was pronounced dead at 10:21 a.m.
The ABI and Sheriff's Department will continue to investigate, but authorities do not believe that foul play was a factor.
