Phenix City man accused of abusing girlfriend's 2-year-old son

LEE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - A Phenix City man is facing multiple charges for allegedly beating his girlfriend's 2-year-old son.
Zachary Ryan Tadlock, 22, is charged with torture and willful abuse of a child and domestic violence assault in the second degree.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office the mother of the child called authorities to report her boyfriend had beaten her child.
Deputies and medical personnel responded to the 600 block of Lee Road 307 in Phenix City. The 2-year-old boy was suffering from multiple knots and busies and had red marks all over his face, check, legs and other regions of his body, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities say the child's injuries aren't life threatening, but he is being monitored by medical professionals.
The Lee County Department of Human Resources is assisting in the criminal investigation.
Tadlock was placed in the Lee County Detention Facility on $26,000 bond.
