DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - A Headland man was arrested in Dothan and is charged with attempting to entice a child after police say he chased two girls.

According to a news release officers responded to the 1300 block of Alexander Drive after a complaint that a male was chasing two juvenile females. The male had offered free clothing to the females and after they refused he chased them to a residence in the 1200 block of Judson Street. The two victims were able to make contact with and adult who watched the male run away.

A search for the subject was conducted and officers located 35-year-old Kennon Obryan Hester  in the Alexander Courts apartment complex. He was later identified as the subject and was taken into custody.

During the investigation of Hester trying to entice a child, police discovered that Hester was believed to have unlawfully entered an apartment in the same complex on July 3, while the tenant was inside.

Investigators say that the burglary victim, an adult female, found Hester in her bathroom while she took a shower.

The victim started to scream, which forced Hester to leave her apartment. He was later identified following his arrest for enticing a child.

Hester is being charged with attempting to entice a child for immoral purposes and second degree burglary. He is being held without bond.
