GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) - The Greenville Police Department has arrested a suspect in a weekend shooting that killed one person and injured another.

Police previously identified the suspect as 27-year-old Montgomery resident Michael DelBridge. Police were urging DelBridge to turn himself in and Wednesday he did just that. He's now being held at the Butler County Jail after surrendering to Greenville police. He's charged with murder and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Greenville Police Chief Lonzo Ingram says officers responded around 11:20 p.m. Saturday to Wimberly Street where they found 29-year-old Kerry Smith suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Smith was transported to a Montgomery hospital where he was pronounced dead Sunday morning.

Another victim, 30-year-old Michael Loveless, transported himself to Stablers Hospital and was then transported to a Montgomery hospital. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Chief Ingram has not provided any details regarding a motive.
