MACON CO., AL (WSFA) - All lanes are open, but troopers say expect delays after a tractor trailer caught fire on I-85 SB in Macon County.

According to Corporal Jess Thornton with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the tractor trailer caught fire around 6 a.m. Thursday morning. The crash shut down both sides of the interstate. All lanes are reopened but Troopers are still cleaning up the crash scene.

Motorists traveling in the area should expect delays and may want to consider an alternate route. One possible route would be to get off at exit 26, make a left on to County Road 30  and then take a right onto U.S. 80 west. Follow this to Montgomery.
