COOSA CO., AL (WSFA) - The names are being released of a mother and two children killed in an early morning wreck in Coosa County.
Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say Larhonda Cambrielle Brown, 26, of Hardaway, was driving a 2014 Nissan Versa along U.S. Hwy. 231 when it collided head-on with a tractor trailer commercial vehicle around 12:30 a.m.
Brown was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where she was pronounced dead a short time after arrival. Brown's children, identified as Cameron Echols, 2 months-old, and Carmen Brown, 3, were also killed.
The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured, authorities confirmed.
Authorities say the wreck happened in a curve in the road near mile marker 201 in the Stewartville area. That's approximately 15 miles south of Sylacauga.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
