MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) - The cause of multiple explosions heard in east Montgomery on Friday night could be the result of three vehicle fires at a concrete company on Wares Ferry Road.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department responded to a call around 10 p.m. at the Couch Ready Mix USA Concrete Company of three vehicles on fire. When deputies arrived, they encountered two concrete trucks and one dump truck fully engulfed in flames. The fire reportedly started with one of the vehicles, and ended up spreading to the two other vehicles.

A Sheriff's Department spokesperson says the explosions could have been the result of the fire reaching the vehicle fuel tanks or popping the tires.
