Police arrest 24-year-old in Greenville homicide case

GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) - A 24-year-old male is under arrest and charged with murder, after allegedly shooting an 18-year-old multiple times Saturday afternoon in Greenville.
Greenville Police Chief Lonzo Ingram says the shooting happened around 3 p.m. on Field Street. Ingram identified the suspect as Terrance Marsh, and the victim as Jerome Watkins.
Marsh is charged with murder, possession of marijuana and possession of synthetic drugs.
Police say Marsh was in an SUV when he began firing his gun at Watkins, who was walking down Field Street.
Officers responding to Oglesby Street on Saturday where they found Watkins dead on the front porch of a nearby home. Ingram says Watkins had been shot multiple times.
Investigators say that the two individuals did know each other and that this is believed to be an isolated incident.
