MONTGOMERY, AL - Drop off recycling containers around Montgomery are permanently removed for September. Susan Carmichael of Montgomery Clean City Commission says it is due to illegal dumping at the drop off containers located around the city.

Carmichael wants Montgomery citizens to utilize their green roll out containers by placing household garbage and recyclables into the containers. She assures that the recycled materials are carefully sorted at Infinitus Renewable Energy Park.

Businesses and apartment residents are encouraged to drop off their recyclable materials to either Mclnnis Recycling Center or Mount Scrap Materials.

Some of the affected areas with containers are AUM, Montgomery Mall, Hayneville Road Community Center, Thompson Park, and Lagoon Park.

Montgomery Clean City Commission is a community group dedicated to educating Montgomerians on how to keep their city cleaner and more attractive.
