Cooking with Leslie: Chili Cheese Dog Casserole

Chili cheese dog casserole for a crowd! Here's a much easier way to serve the masses when you tailgate or have a Halloween party!

  • 1 can hormel chili
  • 1 cup cheese
  • 8 hot dogs
  • ½ cup onions
  • fritos
  • buns

Put half the can of chili in a baking pan. Cook hot dogs according to package directions and cut into bite size pieces. Sprinkle ½ cup of cheese and the onions on top of chili. Add hot dogs and top with the remainder of the chili and cheese

Bake at 350 till hot and bubbly and serve with fritos on top or in hot dog buns.

If you want to you can top the casserole before baking with cornbread batter and bake until cornbread is done.

This is a great way to use left over hot dogs and is very hearty for the crisp fall evenings!
