Auburn Police arrest 6 in drug bust

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - Police arrested six east Alabama residents Sunday during a raid in Auburn that produced cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, money and firearms.

The Auburn Police Division's Narcotic Section, with the assistance of Lee County Regional SWAT and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency arrested and charged the following:

  • Janerold Philpot, 35, of Auburn was charged with Possession of Marijuana first degree, bond $3,000;
  • Threston Philpot, 28 of Auburn was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, bond, $1,000;
  • Eric Stinson, 42, of Opelika was charged with Possession of Marijuana first degree, bond $3,000;
  • Richard Key, 47, of Tuskegee was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, bond $3,000;
  • Henry Finley, 31, of Auburn was charged with Drug Trafficking (cocaine) and Possession of Marijuana first degree, bond $53,000;
  • Vivian Philpot, 51, of Auburn was charged with Sale of Alcohol without a License and Possession of Alcohol for Sale without a License, bond $2,000.

The raid took place at a building in the 1400 block of Ogletree Road in Auburn. These arrests are the result of a months-long investigation into illegal sales and use of drugs, gambling, and the illegal sale of unlicensed alcohol.
