MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - An arrest has been made in connection to a weekend murder that took the life of 25-year-old Montgomery resident Shederick Brooks. The suspect, Jonathan Norman, also 25 and of Montgomery, turned himself in to Montgomery detectives on Sunday.

Police and Fire Medics responded to the 2200 block of Upper Wetumpka Road around 12:45 a.m. Saturday on reports of a person being shot. When they arrived, they found Brooks suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead the next day.

Norman is charged with once count of murder and is being held on a $75,000 bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

The investigation indicates the shooting was domestic-related, but no other details were immediately available.
