Teen charged with reckless murder in death of 15-year-old

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old in the shooting death of 15-year-old Deandre Pettus of Montgomery over the weekend.
Deshun Watts of Montgomery was charged with one count of reckless murder.
According to court documents, Watts was playing with a loaded gun, and Pettus was shot in the head.
The shooting happened Saturday in the 400 block of Ogden Avenue around 2:15 p.m. Pettus was transported to a local hospital where he died on Sunday.
Watts was taken into custody Saturday and was held under a $350,000 bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
