Attempted murder suspect arrested, 2 women accused of harboring fugitive

SELMA, AL (WSFA) - A man wanted for attempted murder in Selma was arrested Wednesday.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force and the Selma Police Department apprehended Antonio Whatley Wednesday, according to the Selma Police Department.

When he was arrested, two women were with him. Lamonica Ann Gill, 18, and Brandi Sneed, 19, were arrested and charged with hindering prosecution and harboring a fugitive. They were each given a $50,000 bond.

Whatley was wanted for attempted murder in connection to a shooting on Dec. 30 on Church Street in Selma.

He wasn't given bond.

Three other suspects have already been arrested in connection to a series of shootings they believe are all connected on Dec. 30 and 31.
