MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department continue to investigate a shooting that left two people injured Thursday night on Perry Hill Road near Atlanta Highway in the area of Goodwyn Middle School.
MPD spokeswoman Lt. Denise Barnes confirmed two adult shooting victims were found suffering from non-life-threatening injuries in the 200 block of Perry Hill Road.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Goodwyn Community Center, which is near Goodwyn Middle School.
MPD officers were also investigating near Hillview Terrace Health & Rehab facility across the street. Barnes said the two scenes were related though the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
Police say at the time of the shooting, there were no school events taking place, although the Goodwyn gym was open for recreation under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Department.
