MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Skies are clear as we get our Friday going across the state of Alabama. Sunshine should be a common commodity for the next few days as we sail on through a quiet forecast. The weekend looks great, but another cold front should impact the area early next week...
TODAY: Temperatures should find their way into the upper 50s this afternoon under clear skies. There's still a bit of a NW breeze today that will hinder us from using the word "warm" into the afternoon. Still, it's a very comfy Friday.
THIS WEEKEND: Let the warmup begin! Temperatures Saturday will churn through the lower 60s and are destined for about 70 Sunday with more sunshine. Zero headaches and zero complaints this weekend.
Whatever outdoor plans you have will be flawless. If you don't have outdoor plans already made, this is the kind of weekend to make some.
NEXT WEEK: Temperatures will stay warm as we enter the start of the new week. A weak frontal boundary Monday could provide an isolated shower or two, but rain chances remain very low.
Tuesday appears to be the warmest of the bunch as we find ourselves out ahead of a more potent cold front developing to our west. That front will slide through into the late Tuesday-early Wednesday timeframe. Early indications certainly don't scream severe weather, but there could be enough to need to keep an eye on things as t-storms appear possible.
We're getting into that time of year when each and every cold front swinging by needs to be watched closely. As March gives way to April, our peak severe weather window starts to rear it's ugly head.
