Suspect, victim identified in Hope Hull homicide case

MONTGOMERY CO., AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office released the names of the victim and suspect in a homicide Tuesday night in Hope Hull.

According to the sheriff's office, Jasmine Mildred Blevins was found suffering from a gunshot wound around 7:30 p.m. on West McLean Road. She died on the scene, according to Chief Dave Bryan.

Authorities had previously stated the victim was a male, but later clarified their statement to indicate a male "person of interest" was taken into custody. That man was identified as Michael Paul Henderson.

Henderson is charged with one count of murder.

It's believed the death came as a result of a domestic situation, investigators stated.
