Happening This Weekend:

The Montgomery Marathon is tomorrow and even if you're not racing, there's a good chance you'll feel the effects of it. WSFA 12 News reporter Bethany Davis is live downtown where she will talk to you about the race and tell you everything you need to know before you head downtown. Several states across the southern half of the US are experiencing flooding. What about the rain predicted in our area this weekend? First Alert Meteorologist Eric Snitil has your latest forecast coming up on Today in Alabama.

Louisiana Flooding:

At least three people are dead and thousands of residents have been forced to evacuate after record flooding in Louisiana. Governor John Bel Edwards is warning all motorists to use "extreme caution" and acknowledge all road closures. More details on the flooding and what's next for the state coming up.

Officer Smith Motions:

There's a new update surrounding the upcoming preliminary hearing for MPD Officer Aaron Smith. The defense filed numerous motions for the March 24th preliminary hearing this hearing was requested by Officer Smith's attorneys immediately after his arrest. Details on what those motions are coming up on Today in Alabama.

Nestle Recall:

You might want to take a close look in your freezer. Nestle USA is voluntary recalling a number of its frozen meal products after officials with the company say there may be small pieces of glass inside these foods. We will tell you which products are affected and what to do if you have one coming up.

Nancy Reagan's Funeral:

Later today hundreds are expected to attend the funeral for former first lady Nancy Reagan at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
