18-year-old's death investigated as Montgomery's 8th homicide

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A shooting that left an 18-year-old dead Tuesday morning is now being investigated as a homicide.
Lt. Denise Barnes says the shooting happened around 3:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of Gibson Street. The victim, Kimo Anthony, was found dead at the scene.
Investigators initially questioned a person of interest but the person was released. No suspects are in custody at this time.
Police are asking with knowledge of this homicide to call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, the secret witness line at 262-4000 or the Montgomery Police Department at 625-2831.
