Man sentenced to 50 years for impersonating officer, robbery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A man accused of impersonating a police officer to attack a woman in Montgomery County has pleaded guilty.

Christopher Grady was sentenced to 50 years for robbery, burglary, kidnapping and impersonating police officer.

The incident happened in 2014 on Ray Thorington Road.

The victim says she was greeted by a man claiming to be a police officer who said he needed to check the house. She was hit and handcuffed as he stole from the home.

Grady was arrested in Tennessee.

A second suspect in the attack, Margaret Grady, already pleaded guilty to burglary and conspiracy to commit robbery.

She has not been sentenced but faces two to 20 years behind bars.
