MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Good Friday morning from the digital desk of Today in Alabama! We are following several stories for you this morning. Here's a preview of some of those stories in our 6 o'clock hour: 

Weather:  Heavy rainfall continues around our state this morning but how long will it last and what about the weekend?? First Alert Meteorologist Eric Snitil says while we may get a break this morning, we may have another severe threat tonight. Eric continues to track the rain and has the updated forecast coming up on Today in Alabama.


Keep in mind that with heavy rain can cause flooding on roadways. Motorists take caution and give yourself some time to get to your destination this morning.

Crash Involving Train: This is a story being heavily discussed on our Facebook page. A crash between a vehicle and train is under investigation, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Coming up we have the details surrounding the crash.

Happening this weekend: The Cloverdale Playhouse is presenting a special event to raise money for the Playhouse School's Financial Assistance Fund.. and for the Alabama Institute for Education. This morning we will hear from Cloverdale Playhouse Director Randy Foster who has all the details.
