MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - After a beautiful weekend, we're enjoying a fantastic start to our new week. Our weather is expected to remain quiet for the next few days before we start to turn our attention to the next cold front...
TODAY: After a morning in the 40s (and even a few 30s!), we're off to the races already. Afternoon highs are expected to top out into the upper 70s with pure sunshine all day long. It's essentially the same forecast as yesterday, just with a few bonus degrees.
TUESDAY: More sunshine expected with high in the middle 70s. Beautiful!
WEDNESDAY AND BEYOND: Our next cold front will approach the region late Wednesday night. That will spark off a line of rain and storms that will press southward. At this time, I'm really not seeing a whole lot of evidence supporting a severe weather concern. However...it's April. And models advertise a hint of instability with perhaps enough shear to warrant keeping an eye on things. The SPC has placed the region under a Marginal risk late Wednesday, which is about how I would characterize things right now.
We'll dry out after Thursday morning and watch the sun come back out. Temperatures behind the front will be noticeably cooler with highs in the 60s by late week.
