Motorist in deadly 2-vehicle crash in Barbour County identified

BARBOUR CO., AL (WSFA) - A pickup truck and a garbage truck collided Monday morning, killing two people and injuring two others in Barbour County, confirms Alabama State Troopers.

Troopers say that Tyrone David Hamilton, 31, and Edward James Ross, 50, both of Clayton, were killed when the 2005 Ford F350 they were passengers in struck a 2001 International garbage truck driven by David McEntyre, 47, of Troy.

McEntyre was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained.

The driver of the Ford, identified as 70-year-old Ervin Toney of Midway, was also transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.

The crash occurred around 6:31 a.m. on Alabama State Route 30 at the 4.2 mile marker, one mile east of Clayton.
