TALLASSEE, AL (WSFA) - It's almost time to step out into the real world for graduating seniors at Tallassee High School. But before taking that step forward, there are a few to retrace, all as young eyes look up at them with great anticipation.
Thursday, the Class of 2016 - after more than a decade work tests and assignments that helped them reach the pinnacle in high school - walked the hallways of Tallassee Elementary, the place where it all began.
Among the soon-to-graduate young men and women dressed in purple and gold was senior Clay Justiss. As he passed by his younger sister, Ava Grace, the 4th grader had to give him a big hug!
One by one, the seniors walked the halls, making contact with excited young boys and girls who hope someday to make the same walk.
Adding to the excitement of the moment, school administrators piped Pomp and Circumstance through the school's intercom system.
It was a moment of excitement for the elementary students, but also for teachers and administrators who not long ago taught those walking before them.
