Another movie theater could be coming to Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Movie lovers get ready, a new theater could be headed to the capital city.

RAE Entertainment Group, Inc., a family owned company based in Norman Oklahoma and operator of the cinema brand Evans Theaters, is considering the vacant eight screen Carmike location located in the Eastdale Mall. This will be the 2nd location for the brand.

The Evans Family company is currently negotiating to assume operations of two additional locations in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

"We look forward to getting to know the Montgomery community along with all the other wonderful communities that work and shop in the Montgomery metro area." President Joshua Evans says. "When an agreement has been made, we will issues a statement containing more detailed information and our plans for Montgomery. This process is one of discovery as we research the area and determine the longevity of our Brand in the Montgomery market."

RAE Entertainment Group Inc. is known for being active in the communities they serve by hosting fund raisers for local PTA groups, hosting movie nights with library groups and other outreach programs.

The company plans to offer evening ticket prices between $1 and $2 cheaper than other competing theaters. They also offer unique concession treats like funnel cakes. maple cinnamon churros and popcorn, which they says is known in Norman, OK "Best Popcorn in Town".
