Farmer, law enforcement officers rescue trapped dog in Geneva County

GENEVA CO., AL (WSFA) - A farmer in Geneva County, along with a Geneva County Sheriff's deputy and Samson police officer, rescued a dog on Wednesday that was found to be trapped under a barn.

According to the Geneva County Sheriff's Facebook page, the farmer discovered the dog stuck under the foundation of the barn near Samson on Wednesday.

Along with the farmer, Corporal J Myers of the sheriff's office and Officer Marty Bowden of the Samson Police Department helped free the trapped pup.

The farmer and the officers were able to dig around the dog and free her from under the barn.

The dog had been missing for three or four days, and was reunited with her owners.
