Beef up your home security for 35 cents

(WSFA/WMC) - One swift kick might be all it takes for a bad guy to get into your house.

That's because most door strike plates are screwed to the door jam with ½ to 3/4 inch screws. They don't hold up to a good kick.

Replacing those screws with 3-inch steel screws will probably be the cheapest, most effective security upgrade you can make.
