PIKE ROAD, AL (WSFA) - The Town of Pike Road is hosting the 2016 National Night Out celebration to honor the Montgomery County Sheriff and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

According to Pike Road officials, they are hosting this celebration for all they do to make sure residents live in a safe and secure community, and the partnership between neighborhoods and the MCSO.

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pike Road Town Hall. It is open to everyone and there will be live music, free food, games for children and safety demonstrations. Also, town residents will have the opportunity to meet and talk with members of the local law enforcement agency.

"We appreciate Sheriff Cunningham and his team," said Town of Pike Road Mayor Gordon Stone. "Their daily work enhances the quality of life enjoyed by Town of Pike Road residents. National Night Out is a way for us to say 'thank you!'"
