AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - Think about you typical college student majoring in engineering. I'm sure there's an image that comes to mind. Engineering students at Auburn University may be changing the way you think.

"Engineering students have fun too," said senior chemical engineering major Kate Duke.

So they decided to show the world how the get down.

"At the beginning of the summer one of my co-workers had a great idea for lip dub where we could highlight all the great departments in engineering," said Brandon Goebel who works in marketing for the engineering department.

So they picked out Justin Timberlake's summer hit "Can't Stop the Feeling".

"The goal of the video was to show that engineers do get out of the classroom," said Duke. "We're not always on the computers drawing graphs. We know how to have fun and we have good resources at Auburn University."

"We're not just huddled over in the corner with our calculators," said senior mechanical engineering major Ryan Blackwell.

"I think most people think they are introverted and can't interact socially very well," said Auburn employee, and one of the videos stars, Shelby Taylor.

"Coming from media studies I know a bunch of outgoing people," said Goebel. "I came to engineering expecting to find quiet nerdy people."

Instead, he found some energetic young men and women with some moves. So if all this rocket science stuff doesn't work out, is there a chance these students could take their act to Hollywood?

"I don't have the paparazzi coming after me, but I do have a lot of Facebook tags," said Blackwell.
