Weather Blog: Summer's last gasp

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A weak cold front draped across the region will offer more bark than bite on our Monday. Fog and low clouds are in the process of melting away and should give way to at least partial sunshine today. We only have a few more Summer days left before we flip the switch to Fall later this week...

TODAY: It will be a slow process for some, but drier air will start to win out as clouds break apart. That will give way to partly cloudy skies into our Monday afternoon. Behind the cold front, drier air will keep rain chances down for a few days but will fail to offer any cooler air. Temperatures will climb into the lower 90s with rain chances hovering around 10%.

REST OF THE WEEK: Noticeably less humid air will make for generally quiet conditions through the middle part of the week. Expect lots of sunshine and highs into the lower 90s.

Fall begins Thursday, but there won't be any major changing of the guard. Our first real push of Fall-like air remains to be seen...
