MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - With the first day of Fall right around the corner (Thursday), you'd think our weather should be in for a few changes in over the next week. Think again...
TODAY: Mainly sunny skies will stick with us from late morning through the afternoon across the region. Humidity values are down behind yesterday's frontal boundary passage, and that drier air will help keep rain chances at a minimum. While the lower humidity is good, there isn't any relief from the unseasonable warmth today. We'll still get into the 92-95 degree range this afternoon.
REST OF THE WEEK: We're still mainly sunny through midweek & rain chances only slightly tic upward late week. We're only talking 10-20%, sadly. That means allergy sufferers will be in for another long week with pollen counts becoming increasingly elevated.
I've increased temperatures across the board on our 7-Day by a degree or so. This whole week just has the feel of lower 90s each & every day, so it's difficult to envision any kind of a major shift. Longer range guidance is still looking warmer than normal for the next two weeks, which would carry us into the start of October.
We'll have to see how things play out, but our near-term forecast is plenty warm & generally dry. No Fall to be found just yet.
