Man shot while walking down street in Selma

SELMA, AL (WSFA) - A 19-year-old man is recovering after police say he was shot multiple times as he was walking down a Selma street.
It happened Wednesday around 5 p.m. in the 1300 block of First Avenue.
Selma investigators say someone came out from behind a tree and started shooting at the victim and his friend.
The victim, who was not identified, was struck by bullets in his right arm, right ankle, and left back hip and taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Police listed him in stable condition Thursday.
The man who was walking with him at the time of the shooting wasn't injured.
There are no suspects in the case. It remains under investigation.
